Angle Shades.
(Phlogophora meticulosa)

An unmistakable shape in resting position - easy to identify !

Information:
The folds and creases are distinctive along with the ensuing shape of the outer edge with its deep scalloped bay effect. The patterns of the central bar and the areas on either side of it are also diagnostic although the colouring can vary a bit.
Fore-wing length: 21-25mm. They are very common and can be seen flying almost anywhere in Britain - in gardens, hedgerows, fenland and woodland areas at any time of the year.
