Straw Dot

Another absolutely
unmistakable moth.
Information:
"Straw" describes the background colouration very well and the
'dot' is quite prominent too. The slightly fringed and curved
outer edge of the forewing is quite normal as well and the
colours for this moth do not vary much.
Fore-wing length: 13-15mm. They are common and distributed in
most of Southern England but become more localised further
North. Flying June-July, they can be seen in moorland, fens,
heaths, long damp grass as well as wetter woodland rides.
