Information:
A beautiful greenish white moth that rests with wings
outstretched. It has two white cross-lines on the fore-wings and
a single white cross-line on the hindwing that can line up with
the outer of the two fore-wing cross lines. The facing edges of
the two fore-wing cross-lines are edged with a darker green
which forms a graduated bar between the two cross-lines. The
trailing edge fringe and the leading edge are white.
Fore-wing length: 18-26mm. They can be seen flying May-August in
most situations where trees occur in Britain and they are a
common and widely distributed species.
