Information:
Fore-wing length: 14-18mm. The most significant diagnostic marking is the fine black line across the abdomen that connects with the faint cross lines on the fore-wings when the moth is resting. In the past they preferred limestone soil but recently they have been found where Clematis and Traveller's Joy grow - in hedgerows, chalky or limestone areas and suburban gardens. They fly June-August and can be found in most places in Southern England and Wales.
