Common Marbled
Carpet.

(Chloroclysta truncata)

One version of the Common Marbled Carpet moth resting on the stone wall of a raised flower bed in my garden.

Information:
Fore-wing length: 14-19mm. This is a very variable species which, broadly, splits into two types. This is one of them and is identified by the large central light brown area on the fore-wing and the two zig-zag bands both of which are bordered by a rough white edging
They can be seen flying in May-June or August-October in any patch of greenery ranging from gardens, parks, scrubland, woods as well as fens, and heaths.
