Resting overnight on the inside edge of the moth trap.
Information:
Characteristically rests with wings outspread which admirably displays this brownish/black and white patterned moth. Once seen you will easily recognise it again. Flying from May-July. Fore-wing length: 11-14mm. They can be seen in a wide variety of habitats in or near their preferred food trees of Aspen, Hazel, Poplar, Sallow and Willow. We have a couple of Hazel trees on our boundary.
